FROM BURGER TO NEAPOLITAN PIZZA: A STORY OF PASSION FOR FOOD

OTTO’s story actually begins with the burger. When Rasmus Oubæk (left), former Michelin chef, and Christian Brandt (right), former glazier, set out to create a quality alternative to traditional burger chains, JAGGER was born. With JAGGER, both our team, our professionalism, and our love for creating unique food experiences grew.
Our passion for food then led us to pizza – and not just any pizza, but the Neapolitan. Known as “the mother of all pizzas,” the Neapolitan pizza is world-renowned for its airy dough, chewy texture, and simple yet uncompromising flavor. At OTTO, we’ve worked hard to master this craft – in fact, it took Rasmus Oubæk 131 attempts before he hit the perfect pizza base.

THE OTTO JOURNEY

OTTO was born on Værnedamsvej
The story of OTTO began in 2021 on Værnedamsvej, where we opened our very first pizzeria. Our founder, Michelin chef Rasmus Oubæk, had one mission: to master the true Neapolitan pizza – known as “the mother of all pizzas.” But it wasn’t easy. In fact, it took Rasmus 131 attempts before he nailed the perfect pizza base with the right balance of airy dough, chewy bite, and uncompromising flavor.
The result was a pizza that set a new standard in Copenhagen. Together with Christian Brandt and the rest of the team, we created an experience that quickly made OTTO a must-visit for pizza lovers. It was the beginning of a new chapter in the Buzz CPH journey – and the foundation for the culture of innovation and passion for food that still drives us today.

Our 10th OTTO restaurant
In just three years, we grew from one single restaurant to ten. On February 2, 2024, we opened our 10th OTTO on Strandvejen in Hellerup – a milestone that showed just how far we had come in such a short time.
The journey had been intense and filled with success:
- 3 openings in 2021 (Værnedamsvej, Godthåbsvej, Strandlodsvej)
- 3 openings in 2022 (Rådhuspladsen, Trianglen, Elmegade)
- 2 openings in 2023 (Lyngby, Sluseholmen)
- 2 openings in early 2024 (Rødovre, Hellerup)
With 10 restaurants across Copenhagen, OTTO was no longer just a pizzeria – but a brand that locals had truly embraced. It marked the culmination of three years of hard work, passion, and ambition to bring authentic Neapolitan pizza to even more guests.

Buzz Delivery 2.0
In 2025, we relaunched Buzz Delivery – raising the service level all the way to the guest’s doorstep. For us, delivery isn’t just about speed – it’s about creating an experience that mirrors the atmosphere, energy, and quality of dining inside our restaurants.
With Buzz Delivery 2.0, guests get the OTTO feeling at home: hot pizza delivered fast, always with a smile, by our very own Buzzers on bikes. Our ambition is to cover the entire Copenhagen area and set a new standard for what great service means – both at the table and at the door.
