JAGGER was founded in Copenhagen in 2016 by Michelin chef Rasmus Oubæk (left) and Christian Brandt (right). The idea was simple but ambitious: to take the classic burger and elevate it to a whole new level. At JAGGER, everything revolves around quality – we bake our own organic buns, grind our beef fresh every day, and carefully select our ingredients. It’s fast food, but done in a way where taste, craftsmanship, and ingredients are never compromised.
Today, JAGGER has grown to several locations in both Denmark and Norway, but the spirit remains the same: a burger experience with soul. As an employee at JAGGER, you become part of a dynamic team where the pace is high, but the atmosphere is fun and full of energy. We believe it should be just as cool to work here as it is to eat here – and we give our employees the opportunity to grow, take responsibility, and develop together with us.
THE JAGGER JOURNEY
JAGGER was born on Istedgade
The Buzz CPH journey began in 2016 with our very first restaurant on Istedgade. Founders Christian Brandt and Michelin chef Rasmus Oubæk had a clear vision: to raise the burger standard in Copenhagen and prove that fast food could be made with the same passion as gourmet cuisine.
The burger was an instant hit – as were the crispy fries, the homemade Béarnaise, and the milkshakes that quickly gained cult status. Back then, the food was served in simple cardboard boxes without the packaging we know today, but the experience was already something special. From day one, JAGGER helped raise the standard – and became the foundation for what would later grow into Buzz CPH as we know it today.
Our 10th JAGGER Restaurant
The journey quickly accelerated. In just five years, we went from one restaurant to ten – each new opening proof that Copenhageners had truly embraced JAGGER:
- 2016: Istedgade
- 2017: Amagerbrogade, Falkoner Allé, Nørrebrogade, Købmagergade
- 2018: Østerbro, Valby, Hellerup
- 2021: Vanløse, Christianshavn (our 10th restaurant)
With restaurants spread across Copenhagen’s neighborhoods and bridges, JAGGER had become a permanent part of the city’s food scene – a place where quality, speed, and atmosphere went hand in hand.
Our first step abroad
Taking the leap outside Denmark was a major milestone. Oslo was chosen as our first international destination because it reminded us of Copenhagen – but entering a new country was far from easy. We had to understand a new culture, learn a new market, and build relationships from scratch.
We sent a team of experienced employees from Denmark to Norway to ensure that the JAGGER spirit crossed the border. Our first restaurant in Storgata was an important learning experience – and although it no longer exists, it paved the way for the two strong locations we now have in Grünerløkka and Frogner. Oslo turned out to be the right match, and the move abroad made us stronger and more ambitious.
Buzz Delivery 2.0
The best delivery in town! In 2025, we relaunched Buzz Delivery with a new vision: to raise the service level all the way to the guest’s front door. For us, delivery isn’t just about getting the food there fast – it’s about creating an experience that reflects the same energy and service we provide inside our restaurants.
With Buzz Delivery 2.0, guests enjoy the same quality and feeling as if they were dining in-house: hot food delivered at speed, always with a smile, by our very own Buzzers on bikes. Our ambition is to cover the entire Copenhagen area and set a new standard for what great service means – both at the table and at the doorstep.
JAGGER 2.0
After nine years of rapid growth, we paused to reflect on where we came from. We decided to return to our roots – the love for food and the pride in the experience we want to give our guests.
JAGGER 2.0 is about raising the standard once again: freshly ground beef, homemade dressings, draft beer, and lemonades served in glasses. But it’s also about the culture in our restaurants – creating more social events, stronger team spirit, and closer ties to the local communities we are part of.
For us, JAGGER 2.0 is both a return to our origins and a springboard into the future.
